The department of Computer Applications at Govt. Degree College Sogam was established in the year 2017. The department has a total number of (01) sanctioned posts which gets filled through academic arrangement. The department has a strength of over 100 students in Computer Applications. . The Department has an extensive Computer lab equipped with 30 PCs. The department has the objective of producing computer professionals of high standard and to serve as a valuable for industry and society. Teaching is imparted in well-designed, industry-oriented curriculum which is right blend of class room teaching, lab work and guest lectures.
The vision of the department has been to strive for academic excellence and to nurture undergraduate students of this remote area with Technical skills and creative abilities so that they can feel themselves fit in their professional environments.
